Tranquility Of Blood (Senad Sahmanovic)
Tranquillity of Blood is a film of the state of mind, great reflections and even greater decisions made in a little village shaped by the long-standing customs and tradition. The story follows the life of a husband and wife, Drago and Persa, who lost their son ten years ago. Their plan of fake death and staged funeral will take their son’s murderer back to the village after a decade of hiding in fear of revenge. Drago, hidden in the mill with the help of his wife, plans to take the final revenge, but the solitude of several months has changed his, up until then, firm decision. Is it desire for revenge stronger than desire for life? Is it possible to forgive and close the cycle?

Mrs Kaye (Ben Ryder)
Mrs Kaye is a tense kafkaesque thriller that explores the plight of a woman fighting seemingly unending levels of bureaucracy in the guise of a nameless man. As the film progresses, it becomes a darker reflection of society’s treatment of the individual and the rise of regressive officialdom in the face of technological innovations and advances.

In Mrs Kaye, the Ryder brothers explore the story of a woman who is trying to resolve an issue with some paperwork that becomes more and more ominous. Initially feeling she is making progress with the man in the office, each time she goes to see his supervisor she walks into the same office to encounter the disturbing sight of the same man. As she moves further and further away from reality, and apparently further back in time, it becomes clear that this problem may be a nightmare from which she can never escape.

Lividity (Robyn Kopp)
A mother’s world unravels after the death of her son. As she plans his funeral he returns to her in the form of his childhood hero: Dracula.

The Lasting Persimmon (Kei Chikaura)
Risaki is coming back home to the snowy countryside of Yamagata which is 400km away from Tokyo. There is the seemingly unchanging snowy life of her beloved family —snow shoveling, making pickles, bridges over a big river covered with snow, and kaki fruits left unharvested on its tree.

Kei Chikaura was born in 1977. He studied cinema and economics at Osaka University and went on to work at several film productions. In 2006, Chikaura founded “Creatps Inc.”, a media production based in Tokyo, and in 2012, started a career directing movies. His 1st narrative short film “Empty House” (2013, Starring Tatsuya Fuji) was invited to 10 international film festivals including the 2014 Aberdeen Film Festival.

The Jogger (Jay Randall)
An overweight man, obsessed with shedding some pounds and calorie counting, has his sanity destroyed by evil fitness freaks on the jogging trail with horrific results. This oddball comedy will make you question ever going for a jog again.

Mary (Rhys Downie)
Based around the urban legend “Bloody Mary”, we will find out the truth behind the myth. Mary and her friends Andrea and Hayden decide to give the game Bloody Mary a go. Unfortunately for these girls, it’s not all just fun and games when their lives get changed forever…

Rhys Downie is  a 19 year old Scottish filmmaker who loves creating new ideas to show to the world.

For my first feature film this was a great honour. We were enthused by the community who came together with us and the impressive cast to bring our end product we now share with the world.

Filmed in under 3 weeks with one camera, in dozens of locations, we attempted to bring as much production value to our independent wee film as possible.
